I am passionate about web design that suits your users. Really they\u2019re the ones with the money so they are the ones that we both need to please with a design. I get really excited to make sites usable and accessible which both drive up conversions. I have worked in the web world for 5 years as a frontend coder and designer. I currently run SFNdesign<\/a> fulltime. I the spent almost two years working at Insight for Living Canada as the coordinator for their entire online initiative. During my time there I managed the redesign and development of their website and did the entire implementation of their new store by myself in a few months. Add that on top of the daily site duties including content entry, HTML email campaigns, working with Google Analytics, and I had a very full two years.<\/p>\n

I’ve been designing and building websites and web applications since 1999. I run a small web company called North Republic<\/a>. We spend our time building websites and custom web applications for many different types of clients. I’ve been using WordPress since the beginning. It’s my go to CMS and I’ve spent many many hours bending it to my will. In the past I worked as an instructor for the NAIT DMIT program teaching web design and development. Idris Fashan is a self-professed word nerd who has loved words for longer than he’s loved computers. In grade 6, he offered to read the entire Wold Book Encyclopedia (over 40 volumes) in one year, and finished with a week to spare (which of course earned him a MacIntosh). Lured into the marketing side of writing, he turned his focus from editorial content to content marketing and strategy. Companies seeking to build authority, community and sales online call on his team at Red Paper Clip. He has pieces of paper from a few schools (that he’s still paying for), but the callouses on the tips of his fingers give him more pride.<\/p>\n

Karen Unland has been obsessed with journalism since she was 10 years old, and her interest has yet to wane. Marc is the owner\/chief\/only creative of rorschach-design.com<\/a>, a local web and graphic design company. Two years ago in school he was asking his teachers to teach the class how to build a custom theme for WordPress, and two years later he still doesn’t know how. What he does know though is that web design, and in particular, WordPress themes are merely puzzles for him to pull apart and put back together again in any way he sees fit. He’s been breaking and putting back together WordPress backed sites for the last couple of years, but still considers himself a beginner.
